Kick Ass Katering and COVID -19

Kick A** Katering LLC (KAK) believes that COVID-19 should be taken seriously as the health and safety of our team and our customers is at the very front of our operating strategies. KAK remains vigilant of all current CDC recommendations and will conduct business through the guidance of the medical and workplace professional community including OSHA, the CDC, and ADHS regarding safety strategies for the alleviation of COVID-19 in our community. Per the recommendations of the aforesaid medical and business organizations, the following list is Kick A** Katering’s best effort to conduct business in the safest approach possible. Kick Ass Katering will offer in-home services on a case-by-case basis using determining factors such as group size and service styles. KAK’s COVID-19 strategies listed below should not be construed as medical advice, placed as an alternative for medical treatment, or perceived as a diagnosis of any kind.  

  1. Staff are vaccinated.

  2. Staff will wear masks during in-home personal chef experiences.

  3. Staff will conduct frequent hand washing.

  4. KAK will telephone screen potential customers for COVID symptoms 1 hour prior to arriving:

    1. In the past 2 weeks, have you or some one you live with had contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19?

    2. Do you have a fever, or have you felt hot or feverish in the last 2 days?

    3. Do you have a new or worsening cough today?

    4. Do you have any of the following symptoms: Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.

If any symptoms are exhibited, the client will receive an opportunity to reschedule the event or be offered 50% credit to a future order or a 50% refund. If a client cancels the event due to possible or confirmed COVID-19 exposure 4 or more days prior to the event, KAK will offer a reschedule opportunity, a credit to a future order, or a full refund.

  1. KAK will screen staff for COVID-19 symptoms before preparing food and prior to arriving to a client’s home.

    1. In the past 2 weeks, have you or someone you live with had contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19?

    2. Do you have a fever, or have you felt hot or feverish in the last 2 days?

    3. Do you have a new or worsening cough today?

    4. Do you have any of the following symptoms: Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.

If any symptoms are exhibited, the staff member will remain at home and cancel the event with an opportunity to reschedule the event or offer the client credit to a future order or a full refund.

  1. If at any point while in the client’s home or after we leave, we develop a fever of 100.4 F or greater, or exhibit any other symptoms of COVID-19, we will keep our masks on, inform the client, and leave the home.

  2. We require our clients to provide us a clean and sanitized kitchen and dining table prior to arriving so that we can begin working in the home.

  3. We require that the client not enter the kitchen area while we are cooking in the home. (Depending on home design, we may alter the boundaries of the “Kitchen Area”.)

  4. We request full compliance and respect for current COVID-19 state and local legal regulations.

  5. Prior to leaving a client’s home, we require all staff to clean and sanitize the areas we have worked in. (Kitchen counters, sinks, Tables, cabinet handles, refrigerator handles, etc.)

  6. We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer who is in violation of our COVID-19 mitigation strategies.
